Formlabs Standard Resin Specifications

  • CLEAR: Clear Resin printed on the Form 3 polishes to near optical transparency, making it ideal for working with light, showcasing internal features, mold making, or printing optics.

  • COLOUR KIT: The first integrated colour mixing solution for resin, Colour Kit enables 3D printing in a range of colours wihtout the manual work of finishing and painting. Field test product concepts more quickly with 3D prints that fit their environment.
    1. Select a recipe. Formlabs has tested 16 colours that you can find recipes for on Formlabs webiste (link below). Choose the best one for your project, or mix your own.
    2. Add Colour Pigment to Colour Base. Follow the recipe to measure the appropriate amount of Pigment and add it to your Base cartridge.
    3. Shake. Mix your Colour Resin thoroughly by shaking the cartridge.
    4. Print. Insert the cartridge into you Form 3/3L 3D printer as usual and print!
  • DRAFT: Draft Resin is suitable for printing large, bulky parts quickly. With a 300 micron layer height, it has acceptable accuracy for prototyping needs while enabling faster design iterations printing up to 4x faster than Formlabs standard materials.
